As we have read, there are many future trends for the OD practitioners on the horizon. Among many of these changes is the trend of OD practitioners becoming strategic business partners. In my opinion, this trend is a mixed bag. Organizational Development practitioners are professionals who are entrusted with the responsibility of initiating, diagnosing, analysing, recommending and executing changes in order to increase the effectiveness of the organization. They are specialist people who might be external or come from the company’s internal team, assisting the organization through the change management.
